Boot Camp Day 2

So, last night was my 2nd day with boot camp. As usual we began with a run but our coach was kind enough to keep it short since it is cold here (according to southern weather people.) Coach Dave said we would focus on arms so I assumed that meant no squats for the night. WRONG! We cycled through four rotations that included 4 minutes of squats (as many as you could do in 20 second intervals with a 10 second break.) We also did kettle bell swings, wall ball, push ups and our newest pain inducer, ring pull ups (gymnastic rings).

Today I am still a little sore from squats but I can still walk the steps at work so I think I will survive. My arms are a bit sore and I am assuming they will be VERY sore tomorrow since I have no upper body strength. Overall, yesterdays workout although difficult, was tolerable. I am thinking that coach went easy on us since it was day 2 and we were all sore.

Session 3: Weights !!

4 mins with 20 secs on and 10 secs off is called Tabata. You can do this with basically any exercise. It is great and really hard! I am loving these posts.
