- My closing is supposed to be on Friday but due to some appraisal issues, it may be pushed back.
- My childhood friend Theresa, gave birth to a baby girl this weekend....welcome Vera Marie Jagasia!
- I started running yesterday with the running club at work. Needless to say, OUCH is my favorite word today.
- My roommate has kidney stones which may not seen like a big deal but he's a BOY. Just think about that statement. All I can say is double OUCH especially since his doctor wants to see if the stones pass on their own (OUCH OUCH!)

It's not a Teratoma!!
Today I was reminded of one of my favorite road trips of all time. Brian, Jake, Lisa and I decided to road trip to New Orleans in August of 2004 for Southern Decadence (which is a blog in itself.) Anyway, we stayed with our dear "DJ"(aka Kevin) in his little one bedroom apartment and found ourselves exploring his medical text books. We came across what we though was the most revolting, bizarre, yet intriguing thing ever....a teratoma. This is basically a large tumor which can be removed but have been known to contain teeth, hair, etc.
I know GROSS!!! (* If you have ever seen My BIG FAT Greek Wedding, the main character's aunt references having a teratoma..."Inside the lump was a set of teeth and a spinal cord. Yes, it was my twin."
Anyway, we were fascinated and found them hilarious and revolting all at the same time to the point that Lisa and I decided we would one day go as teratoma's for Halloween. I heard the word today at work and immediately thought of that road trip. I e-mailed my road trip gang and received this link in response....http://scienceblogs.com/retrospectacle/2007/09/knit_me_a_teratoma.php.
Here's the instructions on how to make this spectacle. This would be a great housewarming gift for any magic knitters out there.
To my road trip gang...thank you for the laughs!

Life Update II
So much has been going on...
1) I was not able to have dinner with my "new" work friends but we have a rain check. Considering I have no social life, I was actually the one who had to cancel for this week because
2) I have an inspection for house #2!!! Unfortunately, there are no pictures online because it was only on the market for a few days before I found it. The market here is VERY slow right now (who wants to move in 100 degree weather) and so what's on the market is it. But, this place went on and I wanted to check it our immediately. It is in the same area where I was looking but it is much cuter :) I will update with pics as soon as I can.
3) I am off to Ohio this weekend for my grandmother's 90th birthday party! We keep telling her to hold out for her 100th so we can put her face on a smuckers jar. I am road tripping there with my parents so that should be interesting.
4) I tried to go running...OUCH! A little over a year ago, I ran the Soldier Field 10 Mile. I was not the fastest person but I finished and I felt pretty good. Well yesterday, I did not feel so good. My body was not liking the whole idea. I need to start moving...
I guess that is my update. I realize I really haven't been that busy but it sure felt like it.
