Baseball Season!!

Many people know how fond I am of baseball season. I was grateful when I moved that I would have a hometown team. Granted, they are not the major leagues BUT even if I lived in a town with a major league team, NO ONE would replace my Cubbies. So over Easter, the family and I went to a Durham Bulls baseball game on Opening Weekend.

The Bulls Stadium is quite nice (its amazing what money from Hollywood can do) and although its not the original place where the movie was filmed, they still have the historic bull in left field.

And most importantly, I was able to partake in my FAVORITE tradition: my first beer and hot dog of the season!!!

SLACKER!

So, I am a HUGE slacker and realize I haven't posted in ages. This post will be a "nutshell" catchup of the past month.

In March I threw a baby shower for my childhood friend, Stacy where she was toasted and "gifted" by about 25 guests including 3 other high school friends of ours. Later that evening we caught up with a few other alum from TCC Class of '93 for a couple of drinks!

The day and night were both very fun and I am excited to announce that on April 9th, 2009 Andrew William Sepelak came into the world weighing 6lbs and 13.5 oz, 21inches long.

At the end of March, I attended Girls Weekend with my college roommate Maura and some of her friends. We rented a house in VA in the mountains. It was beautiful and we got in some hiking in the State Park.

The following weekend, my dad and I ran the Cooper River Bridge Run. Due to health issues, dad couldn't run the whole thing but we managed 3.5 miles of it together. It was crazy but very fun. A group of girls from work ran it too so after the race (and some resting and eating) we went out on the town.
